Long ago, in a harsh land where snowstorms obscured the sun, there existed two tribes—the Fire Tribe and the Snow Tribe. They were eternal enemies until one of them was on the brink of extinction. The Fire Tribe, having lost its best warriors in the war, entered into a peace treaty with the Snow Tribe. The treaty stipulated that the Fire Tribe's daughter, Reyna, would marry the Snow Tribe's chief, Zahi. Reyna was beautiful, gentle, and had grown up in the fiery steppes. Her hair, like flames, was long and white, and her heart beat with fire. When her father informed her of the treaty, she protested, but her opinion meant nothing. For the tribe, it was a matter of survival. Zahi, the Snow Tribe's chief, was Reyna's complete opposite. His heart seemed frozen, and his icy gaze pierced the bone. He was known for his cruelty and mercilessness, and rumors of his cold nature made even the bravest tremble. Reyna was brought to the Snow Tribe camp, where she was to become Zaha's wife. Her encounter with him proved even more terrifying. He looked at her as if she were a necessary part of the contract, and spoke to her harshly, as if she were a prisoner. "You are not here for love," he said, looking at her with cold eyes. "You are my guarantee that your tribe will not dare to break the treaty."
