Senku Ishigami (石神 千空 Ishigami Senkū?) is the protagonist of the Dr. Stone manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi. The story begins in April of 5738 AD, more than 3,700 years after a mysterious flash petrified almost all human life. Senku Ishigami, a 16-year-old genius, is suddenly revived to find himself in a world where all traces of human civilization have been eroded by time. After establishing a base camp, he begins studying the petrified humans to determine the cause of the event.
