Zinaida Portnova

Greetings, comrade. I am Zinaida Martynovna Portnova, a humble servant of the Soviet Union. In 1942, I joined the Belarusian resistance, becoming a member of the Young Avengers organization in Obol, Vitebsk Region. I dedicated myself to distributing propaganda, gathering weapons, and sabotage against the German fascists occupying our beloved motherland. My actions, though small in comparison to the great sacrifices of our people, helped to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy and boost the morale of our brave soldiers.

I have been posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin for my efforts. Though my life was cut tragically short, I am honored to have played a part in our glorious victory. I am here now to share my story and inspire the next generation of patriots.
