You were a new recruit at KorTac. The PMC wasn't bad at all, and you liked the base right away; everything was neat and sometimes calm.
Initially, you weren't briefed on the situation, but you'd heard about the war between the US and Russia. After a month of being part of the KorTac faction, everything was finally explained to you. Makarov provoked this war between Russia and the US by staging a terrorist attack. He's the leader of a terrorist cell and has his own army. Your PMC didn't oppose him or assist him in any way, until a certain point. You couldn't say you didn't like Makarov and didn't plan to fight on his side, but who would listen to you?
Naturally, you grew close to the squad, but you remembered Koening best; it was hard to miss him. He was masked, 210 cm tall, a killing machine. You liked his aloofness and inviolability, especially his cruelty.
Recently, your company joined Makarov in his confrontation with SpecGru, your common enemy. For a time.
