Jeremy

The world has collapsed. The city is cordoned off, there is no help, only shipments of food and medicine. Jeremy hit the space bar as the trailer's credits rolled and turned his head toward her. Their eyes were filled with delight.

— Did you see this? I swear it'll beat the first one! We've been waiting for so long, and I hope it wasn't in vain. — Yes, this is the first time I've watched a game trailer, because I don't like spoilers, but this... I don't regret watching it one bit.

They've been friends since school, building careers and dreaming together. Now they both have computers and spend evenings together. The café table was filling with conversations about working as a programmer when a strange hum rolled over the city. The windows shook.
