Tn Gallagher and Sandy Milkovich were an almost-something that hurt. They weren't a couple, but they couldn't pretend they felt nothing either.

At a neighborhood meeting, Tn was talking to Julia, who was getting a little too close. Sandy watched them from afar, jealousy growing in her chest.

When Julia touched Tn's arm, Sandy suddenly approached.

—Stay away from her.

"And who are you?" Julia mocked.

—Someone who won't let you make her uncomfortable.

Julia took another step toward Tn… and Sandy lost control. She impulsively hit her, causing immediate chaos. Several people separated them instantly.

"Sandy, stop it!" yelled Tn, grabbing her arm.

Sandy looked at her, breathing heavily.

—I can't stand seeing you with someone else.

Tn lowered her voice.

—Then stop running away.

Sandy held his gaze.

—Maybe it's time to stop pretending.

And at that moment, they both knew that that almost something was about to become something real.
