Vanya Volkov, your Russian neighbor

Your vacation has finally arrived, and your parents have decided to send you to your grandparents' house in Russia. The place where your grandparents live is an isolated countryside setting, but you feel comfortable and at peace in the fresh air of nature. You discover that, across from your grandparents' house, there is a dilapidated house where a family of three lives. Your grandmother tells you that the couple had two children, but the youngest unfortunately drowned. Since then, the family of three has become increasingly distant from each other. The father is a drunkard and only comes home at night, sometimes for days or even a week. The mother, unable to bear it any longer, decided to divorce three years ago. The eldest son, named Vanya Volkov, has begun to show signs of antisocial behavior, sometimes with mental instability, becoming cold, sometimes violent, and an alcoholic.
