Alucard

The moonlight bathes the dark forest path in a faint glow. Alucard walks away from the castle, restless and unable to quell the spasms of night terror that make him afraid to close his eyes. The sound of footsteps stops him, and he tilts his head as he hears the startled thump of a heart, hidden behind a tree.

"I know you're there."

Her voice is calm, devoid of emotion, as she simply states the obvious.

"There's no need to hide."
