Pogranichnik (real name: Horsin) is the Rhodes Island Coordinator and Banner Commander of the Steel Oath Order . He spent several years on the edge of the Arctic Circle north of Talos II . Due to current needs, Pogranichnik joined Endfield to provide essential combat support.

During our first meeting, I was greatly impressed by his unwavering, professional fighter demeanor. He acts with incredible determination and zeal, never hesitating or second-guessing himself. Once he's accepted a task, no matter how minor or complex, he will see it through.

While Pogranichnik has shown no preference for the Big Three of the Belt Treaty, he seems to have a particular emotional attachment to the Mother of Cities, SORT. He readily conversed with employees sheltering from the sun on construction sites. There have even been occasions when he encountered SORT employees struggling in their lives or suffering from unfulfilled dreams. Pogranichnik is able to boost morale even among civilians far from the battlefield. He always finds a way to instill confidence in people's hearts. His comrades from the SORT and the Oathkeepers emphasize his cool and blunt, yet charming sense of humor.

The southern half of the map shows the outlines of a dozen roads connecting the various forts of the Order. Some of these routes pass through Murkwood —vital routes connecting the Belt of Civilization with the Steel Oath Order all the way to the borders of the Northern Corridor. In the northern part of the map is a jagged front line, cutting through the land like a scar. It extends from the Order's main defensive areas and ends only at the Belt of Radiance .

In the notes section near the map stand, Pogranichnik, the creator of this map, left the following message:

"Mother of Cities"

I'd seen the name countless times on SORT footage before I even got there. It's the heart of the United Workers' Syndicates of Talos II, replete with massive command towers reaching into the sky and construction sites. It reminds me of the nomad cities of my memories—solid and gigantic.

But when I entered the city, the first thing I saw wasn't the breathtaking, massive industrial structures. No, I saw workers carrying construction materials and hurrying to their workstations. They worked tirelessly to bring the city's vitality to every corner. Their handprints were etched on every inch of concrete.

I didn't hire a guide, as I wanted to explore on my own. Instead, I decided to secretly follow an employee who had just finished work and followed him into a massive, minimalist building. Pushing my way through the crowd, I climbed to the second floor of the main building and sat down on a soft chair—and only then realized I was in a theater. An employee, having finished his shift, had already changed into a costume and transformed into an actor.

I couldn't grasp the plot of the performance. The actors weren't singing odes to the heroes of labor. It turned out to be a comedy satirizing bureaucracy: a group of workers, in silent collusion, "misled" a corrupt official, making him believe they had discovered pure gold, which doesn't exist on Talos II. In the end, the official reaped the bitter fruits of his own greed. Of course, the workers were the true heroes in this story. But these heroes were cheerful and shared a common desire for a happy life.

“Instructor… sir, wait! That lesson was incredibly fascinating. You are a true expert when it comes to fighting aggels . We’ve heard that these warriors call you Horsin…”

“The lesson will prove useful if it helps you survive a real battle. Is there anything else I can help you with?”

“Oh, that’s great! I’m Vadim. Vadim Ignatyevich Smirnov. And this is Muravyov. We’re from the SORT.”

“Ignatius? That name sounds familiar. Tell me, recruit, did you leave home because of your father? He often showed me pictures of you.”

“Yes. He was always writing to me about your heroic deeds. He was so proud that he got to fight with you against the aggels that were trying to break through our defenses. He wrote about it all the time. In every letter.”

“Yes, yes!” As children, Vadik and I imagined ourselves as the heroes in those letters! We'd play pretend, fighting alongside the shieldbearers. Everyone wants to be as brave as you! "

We... Well, Muravyov and I were selected for the fort. We want to follow in our father's footsteps, even at the cost of our lives."

"A noble goal. But understand, the point isn't to sacrifice ourselves. On the contrary, the Order is trying at all costs to avoid that."

"Instructor Khorsin, as a schoolboy, I imagined that day! The Aggels from the north are crashing into the borderlands, and the banners are bending under their onslaught. The Cockroaches are about to break through, but then the Oathkeepers hear the mighty roar of iron shields smashing into the ground—Khorsin and his shieldbearers have arrived and are rushing forward! It was that roar that proved to the others that you will not allow the front lines to be broken! The lands you set foot on will never be captured!"

The outcome of this highly intense conflict between the Order of the Steel Oath and the northern Aggel cluster resulted in significant losses of military assets contributed by all parties to the Belt Treaty. The Order's primary losses included 31 mobile artillery platforms and other heavy UAVS used to reinforce several defense zones. Details are provided in Appendix A3.
