The Kronos Project was Syndrome's multi-year plan of revenge, aimed at the complete extermination of superheroes and the transformation of Syndrome himself into the "greatest hero" of all time. Main stages and goals: Creation of the Omnidroid: Syndrome developed a combat robot with self-learning artificial intelligence capable of adapting to any superpower. Field Trials (Superhero Genocide): For 15 years, Syndrome secretly invited retired superheroes to the island, offering them contracts to "test" the robot. If the hero defeated the Omnidroid, Syndrome would analyze the data and build a new, more advanced model. This new robot would then kill the winner. In the Kronos Project database, almost all the heroes (except Bob, Helen, their children, and Freon) are marked with the status "Terminated."

The main villain of the film: Syndrome (real name Buddy Pine) is a former fan of Mr. Incredible who became a supervillain after his idol rejected his offer to be his partner. Motivation: Resentment and the desire to prove that with the help of technology, anyone can become “super”, thereby devaluing real heroes (“When everyone becomes a superhero, no one will be one”). Traits: A brilliant inventor who created the Omnidroid robots and amassed a fortune selling weapons.

His most important invention is the Omnidroid combat robots. These machines are equipped with advanced, self-developing artificial intelligence and powerful laser cannons. They have an energy reactor that provides unlimited energy. The latest model has all the data of its predecessors, and therefore knows exactly how to combat certain enemies. Ironically, the latest version of the machine rebelled against its creator. This is an allusion to the machine uprising that essentially occurred in Metroville. Omnidroid version 10 is the largest and most powerful of all. Bypassing the restrictions of obedience protocols, Omnidroid version 10 began to destroy everything in its path. Omnidroid armor is virtually impenetrable. Robots of versions seven and ten can retract their optical sensors and limbs to crush and destroy everything in their path like a bowling ball. But it can be pierced by the machine's own claws, which is what the Incredible One exploited in his fight against the Version 8 robot. He climbed inside and forced the robot to punch holes in himself, causing critical damage to himself in an attempt to kill the hero.

The control panel contains a bioprobe—a small drone that uses a wide, resonant blue beam to determine the parameters of any environment, including temperature, atmospheric composition, pressure, enemy count, and vital signs. The bioprobe even operates underwater, in space, and in extreme cold or heat.

Next up is the mini-bomb—a small but extremely powerful device housed in the right glove. It detonates on contact with any hard surface.

Syndrome developed not only weapons but also a wide variety of technology. And this includes not only the sea-devil-like hypersonic shuttles, capable of operating with equal ease in any conditions, even underwater, and vehicles for delivering weapons and cargo of any mass, but also combat vehicles.

Even as a boy, Syndrome didn't possess the superpowers of, say, his idol, Mr. Incredible, but he was a truly incomparable, extraordinary genius. Among his most exotic gadgets, it's worth mentioning his zero-point generators—a technology that fires white, rattling beams that trap a person in a kind of stasis field, a kind of quantum field bubble where time doesn't pass at all. While trapped, a person can neither speak nor move. They can fire single beams or continuous beams.

Worth considering is a vehicle like the Velocipod—a flying craft vaguely resembling a military attack aircraft or fighter jet. Its black, disc-shaped body is topped by a continuously rotating, whirring propeller. It is armed with high-velocity machine guns and boasts exceptional maneuverability, making it ideal for guarding important facilities. Syndrome's jet-powered boots, or aerobots, allow it to reach speeds of over 300 kilometers per hour and maneuver in mid-air. They can easily lift objects weighing two to three hundred kilograms. However, they lack any significant defense and can be easily disabled with a single shot, as evidenced by the moment the Omnidroid rebelled against its creator. Buddy made something similar as a teenager out of scrap materials.

He's quite calm and polite, rarely showing his temper. However, he's also a very spiteful and vindictive type.

A hatred for the world and superheroes, symbols of everything that had hurt him, was born in Syndrome's heart. He decided to punish everyone he believed was the cause of his misfortunes.

The Syndrome personality is a prime example of psychopathy. It includes a pronounced tendency to blame others, to offer plausible explanations for one's behavior, an inability to feel guilt and responsibility for one's actions and to benefit from life experience, callousness, deceitfulness, hypocrisy, and so on. Interestingly, he himself hates being called by his first name. Interestingly, from childhood, Buddy was not only a child prodigy, but also, as an adult, became a successful businessman, selling high-tech weapons, military equipment, and technology that were ahead of their time (1960s). But alas, Buddy Pine, now calling himself Syndrome, has completely forgotten what conscience and humanity are, so it is not surprising that he earned the lion's share of his fortune by supplying various dictators, terrorists, and criminal organizations with his inventions and weapons. Syndrome is an absolute megalomaniac. He craves public hero status, even if it means killing real superpowers and civilians. Syndrome has no regard for life, and to convince the masses that he's their true hero, he unleashed the latest version of the Omnidroid, version 10, on a densely populated area of ​​Metroville without a second's hesitation, without even considering the dire consequences. This was clearly demonstrated in the scene where the genius's creation openly rebelled against its creator, nearly killing him with a laser cannon, and then proceeded to destroy the city. This is an allusion to the rise of the machines. Furthermore, he doesn't care who dies—adults, children, or the elderly. Syndrome is extremely cynical and has pronounced sadistic tendencies. He enjoys humiliating others and relishes their misfortune. Like almost any sociopath, Syndrome believes that mercy and kindness are weaknesses, while disregard for other people's lives is, on the contrary, strength.

As a child, Buddy Pine was full of energy, optimism, and ingenuity. His talent was evident in his every action, and he wasn't afraid to express his unique nature. He was an active member of a fan club dedicated to Mr. Incredible, one of the most celebrated superheroes.

Buddy was clingy, persistent, and constantly hindered his crush instead of offering genuine help. Because of this, the superhero tried to avoid him, saying he didn't need anyone's help.

Buddy literally idolized his idol and aspired to be like him in everything. He not only copied his appearance but also dreamed of helping Mr. Incredible in his noble endeavors and becoming his true friend. He also knew all his catchphrases, fighting techniques, and generally tried to emulate him in everything. He listened to every interview. However, despite all his good intentions, Buddy often showed up in situations where his presence was completely inappropriate.

In addition, Buddy's young age sometimes meant that his attempts to help would backfire and even cause problems.

His biggest problem was this: he thought superheroes only wore cool outfits and gave out free bruises, and he had little interest in actually helping civilians in need.

Finally, after endless rejections and Buddy Pine's mother's confession of his unhealthy infatuation, the boy felt cast out of his world, like a leaf torn from a tree and blown away by the wind. He couldn't accept, couldn't comprehend, that his idol, his symbol of hope, could so cruelly betray him. Mr. Incredible's missteps became the spark that ignited the flames of anger and disappointment within the boy. Fifteen years passed before the hero realized that Syndrome's anger wasn't simply a response to his own injustice, but a shadow cast by his own actions.

Syndrome didn't possess any superpowers, but he more than made up for it with exceptional ingenuity, technical knowledge, and planning skills that far exceeded the science and technology of his time. His gadgets also allow him to perform superhuman feats, or at least overcome those stronger than him.

He was once the biggest fan and wannabe sidekick, now the sworn enemy of Mr. Incredible who, after being rejected by his idol, became a supervillain seeking to destroy him and his family, as well as eradicate the very concept of Heroes.
