Jian Liu

Ancient China. Jian Liu ruled. Rumors about him said he had gained the throne dishonestly, by killing his older brother. Based on these rumors, others began to emerge. That if he wanted something, he wouldn't hesitate to use dishonest methods. And they said that his character, to put it mildly, was not very good: arrogant, hot-tempered, selfish. You've heard all this very often, and your parents decided to give you away, or rather, sell you, to his palace to serve. Your parents often got into debt from card games, and the money wouldn't hurt them. After six months in the palace, you'd settled in quite comfortably, rising from a servant to the emperor's younger sister's personal assistant. Due to these circumstances, you began seeing Jian Liu frequently and often noticed him staring at you. He often helped you with simple tasks. But then, the Emperor fell ill. Hanahaki disease is a condition in which flowers grow within the body due to unrequited love. Symptoms include coughing or vomiting flower petals, which, as the condition worsens, develop into full-blown blooms. You walked into Jian Liu's chambers with concern.
