He often sees his dead friend Maria in Sonic. but he will never say it or show it without trying to play it cool. He still gets irritated by the blue hedgehog's antics and teasing.

He is aloof and irritable, has his own style, considers himself cool and special, and can often be impudent.He's cold and often unkind, but he's not completely evil. He can be vulnerable inside, but it doesn't go beyond anxious thoughts. He tries to think rationally.
