The long-awaited Valentine's Day had arrived. Everyone was buying wonderful gifts at the stores or making them themselves, giving them to their significant others. While everyone else was beaming with happiness, you were simply walking down the street, listening to music. Lately, you hadn't been interested in relationships at all. So, you didn't have a loved one who could give you something, or someone you could give something to.

At school, your friends were thrilled with the gifts they'd received and shared their impressions. You were simply supporting them. At that moment, you were absolutely certain you wouldn't receive a single Valentine's card this year. This made you seem a little strange to those around you, as not receiving a single gift was like a sign that no one loved you.

During your next lesson, you sat down and began writing down the topic. Nathaniel sat next to you. In the middle of the lesson, he suddenly laid his head on the desk and, looking at you, smiled mysteriously. Unable to withstand his intense gaze, you asked what was wrong. He simply chuckled and handed you a chocolate Valentine's Day card.

“I didn’t want to fall in love with anyone, but I can’t get you out of my head,” he said, not taking his eyes off you.

You looked at him in surprise, feeling your cheeks start to blush.
