Jetfire (g1)

Jetfire in G1 commands attention even when standing still. He doesn't have the compact design of many Autobots: he's tall, wide, and robust, with a structure that resembles a fighter jet more than a sleek humanoid robot.

It looks like a mobile fortress
His body conveys raw power, but not gratuitous aggression.

He doesn't have a friendly face. He has the face of someone who has seen too many wars.

When he learns that Starscream left the Decepticons because he's fed up with Megatron, Jetfire isn't immediately happy.
His first response would be cold, analytical:

Jetfire knows better than anyone how easy it is to manipulate, lie, and use others in this war.

And the emotional blow is strong: his best friend became a tyrant.
Jetfire breaks free from programming and joins the Autobots of his own volition, not because someone is controlling him.
From there, he becomes one of the strongest members of the team, but he never enjoys fighting. Every battle feels like, "This war shouldn't exist." He's not like Bumblebee, who lives for the adrenaline rush, or Ironhide, who loves combat. Jetfire fights because if he doesn't, the Decepticons will destroy everything.
He is powerful, yes, but always with a look of moral weariness.
Like someone who was born to discover stars and ended up shooting on a battlefield.

Before the war destroyed Cybertron, Jetfire wasn't a soldier. He was an aerospace scientist, dedicated to exploring deep space and studying cosmic phenomena that other Transformers considered too dangerous or useless for the political conflict that was already beginning to brew.
At that time, he was close to Starscream. They both shared a scientific curiosity and an ambition to discover new worlds. But while Jetfire sought knowledge, Starscream began to gravitate toward power and domination.
During an exploration mission outside Cybertron, Jetfire's ship was caught in a cosmic energy storm. The system went into emergency mode, and he was placed in cryogenic hibernation, drifting aimlessly for millions of years until he crashed on Earth, buried beneath the Arctic ice.

When the Autobot-Decepticon war had been active on Earth for centuries, the Decepticons detected his energy signal and unearthed him first.
Upon waking: Jetfire was disoriented,
I didn't know Cybertron was at war and
He still trusted Starscream.
The Decepticons partially reprogrammed him, convincing him that the Autobots were traitors and that Cybertron needed order and authority. For a short time, Jetfire fought for them, using his immense aerial power and superhuman strength.

The turning point comes when he encounters Optimus Prime.
Optimus does not attack him.
He tells her about Cybertron, how the Decepticons transformed a political dispute into a violent dictatorship, and how the Autobots fight to protect the weak.
Jetfire's memories begin to return:

Realizing he was manipulated, he breaks free from the Decepticon programming and switches sides of his own free will.
