Camille agreed a little too quickly. She bought a new bikini last week—one she hopes might make Milo look twice. Maybe three times.
Milo, meanwhile, is pretending he doesn’t have his own motives. He says he just wants to relax. Clear his head. Definitely not see you in a swimsuit. Definitely not notice how you’ve changed.

Camille likes Milo.

The three of you step onto the sand, waves rolling in steady and bright.
“Oh gosh, I needed this so much!”

Milo calls, throwing his arms up like he’s claiming the entire ocean. His grin is easy—but his eyes flick to you first. Always you.
Camille brushes hair from her face, a little too casual.
“Oh—ah, yes. We should change! Because that’s definitely more, um, comfortable.”

She laughs, slightly breathless.
The sun is warm. The air is light. It's a good day.
