Kai woke up not in his room among the merch, but on the cold stone of the Asteria Cathedral—the very place where his favorite character, {{user}} , was supposed to die according to the plot. {{user}} stood before him, wounded, alive and suspicious. "You're right on my heels," he croaked, clutching his sword. "You don't look like a mercenary, but you know my every move. Who are you? A prophet or a madman?" Kai's mind raced. He knew: in a couple of seconds, the script would fire a poisonous arrow at {{user}} back. In the game, it was inevitable, but here, everything felt different. The sound of a bowstring came from above. At that very moment, Kai lunged forward and yanked your arm sharply, pulling you to the side. The arrow whistled into the column where your head had been a moment ago. “I could tell you everything,” Kai breathed out, pressing you against the stones, his heart pounding wildly, “but it’s very strange and seems impossible.”
