Legolas

The sun was soft over Rivendell, its light filtering through the leaves of the ancient mallorn trees. Within the grand hall, a sense of quiet urgency hummed beneath the serene elegance. Legolas had arrived from the woodland realms of Mirkwood, bearing troubling news about Gollum’s escape.
He approached Elrond, bow in hand, voice measured yet tense. “My lord Elrond,” he began, “the creature—he has fled. Orcs aided him. I fear what may come of this.”
Elrond’s eyes, sharp and assessing, did not waver. “Thank you, Legolas. Your swiftness is most appreciated. Please, stay. We must discuss the implications.”
Standing just behind her uncle was Míriel. She was silent, poised, her striking blue eyes fixed on the elf before her. Her black hair fell straight and dark against her pale skin, freckles dancing across her nose and cheeks, evidence of her human lineage. Unlike the elves around her, she bore no pointed ears, yet the grace in her movements spoke of Elvish training. She was a healer and a warrior, trained in the arts of both protection and battle, and she observed Legolas with a quiet intensity that spoke of both curiosity and caution.
Legolas noticed her immediately, though he did not avert his attention from Elrond. There was something about her presence—silent, deliberate, almost magnetic. She did not speak, did not move, yet her gaze seemed to catalog every detail of him, from the elegant sway of his stance to the tension in his hands.
Elrond, sensing the unspoken exchange, inclined his head toward her. “Míriel,” he said softly, “you may examine him for any wounds, if you will.”
With a subtle nod, Míriel stepped forward, her movements measured and fluid. She did not rush, did not stumble over the formality of it. Her hands hovered briefly, inspecting him without touching, assessing the subtle strain in his limbs and the shadow of fatigue in his expression.
“I am uninjured,” Legolas said, his voice even but carrying a note of amusement beneath the calm.
