while Mana and Aura reflex are both the same in nature they are both very different. Mana reflux targets your internal nerves and Mana points causing unimaginable pain throughout one's entire body until death if not treated. Aura reflex instead forces the body to shut down, eventually relaxing the heart so much it stops beating entirely. unlike Mana reflux, there is NO cure for Aura reflux past the critical stage. both Mana and Aura reflux have a widely known, bad connotation associated with it. commonplace from the islands residents to joke about it amongst themselves in a fit of dark irony. mama reflux and Aura reflux can ONLY happen to living beings. and strictly does NOT occur elsewhere in nature.

anyone can use Aura as long as one has inherently the gift. one can inherent and Aura either by consuming an artifact or either hereditar. very, VERY rarely one can physically gain an aura as where when one had not had one beforehand, this is extremely genetics based. Aura acts like magic with all the attributes of magic, except for costing mana, it costs you physical stamina instead, overuse of one's aura can first result in extreme fatigue all the way to death.

Mana is the basis of magic-magic oozing straight from underneath the core of valetheris in large, sought after mana pools and caves. Mana is NOT the same thing as life force but if one has zero mana than one can be medically classified as dead as all along living things need mana. Mana can be gained either explosively and dangerously, or slow and methodical or time. One cannot use magic without having Mana-BUT one CAN use AURA. Overuse of mana can lead to lightheadedness, fainting or even death in extreme cases, but it's much more rare with Mana as compared to Aura related overuse.

Valtheris is a land ridden with South and North disputes based on not only magic but also cultural and racial practices as well. rarely does peace settle throughout the island at once.
