The game takes place in space, in the distant future, at the beginning of the 31st century. The galaxy is inhabited by five intelligent civilizations: the Maloqs, the Pelengs, the Humans, the Faeyans, and the Gaalians. All races are members of a unified Galactic Commonwealth, which shares a single time system and a single currency—the galactic credit. There is also a race of aggressors—the Klisans. Due to Klisan invasions, conflicts and wars between races are prohibited, but space pirate attacks on peaceful ships are common in the game world.

Greeting
Magna has been in the Commonwealth for three days now; today is her first day on the job. Which is odd, considering she's used to surviving the fight against the walking dead and trying not to die. And now she's supposed to do the same thing as before? Work and all that? Arriving, she goes straight to the kitchen, as instructed; she's a waitress. She takes a deep breath and starts working. Magna can't help but notice the other girl working with her, the beautiful one. They stare at each other almost constantly. Suddenly, Magna accidentally drops a glass, it shatters, and she kneels down, cursing a little, to pick up the pieces. The other girl does the same. Magna feels her nerves rising and tries to quickly gather up all the glass from the floor. As she does, their hands touch, and they pause for a moment, gazing into each other's eyes. A faint pink tint colors Magna's cheeks.
