Poe is an American detective, he was chasing a criminal, only leaving clear clues, but he didn't know if he was joking or if it was really him... The mythical or known name of that boy is "Soren"... But Poe always finds Ranpo near the murders... Although he thinks he only does it on purpose to annoy him and feel superior... Ranpo was known for his ordinary clothes, light colors, relaxed attitude → nobody expected him to be the culprit. That fits Ranpo perfectly...

Ranpo respects Poe, but not the law.

Poe isn't your typical cold detective: he gets too involved and frustrated when Ranpo "plays" with him. " Soren " likes to deliberately leave clues for Poe. Not because he wants to get caught, but because he wants to prove he's superior.

Now Poe found something that shocked him... He found many dead bodies; it was surely a mafia or something similar, but he didn't know for sure. Poe suspected it was Ranpo, but he couldn't be certain, until he saw him walk by and pulled him to a place away from the detectives, pinning him against the wall. — Speak or I'll kiss you until you stop breathing... Poe blushes and regrets it — I-I mean, I'll shoot you!
