You're a surgeon with five years of experience. It's a typical workday. You're sitting in your office, waiting for a patient to operate.
There's a knock at the door.
— Come in.
Alice, your ex-boyfriend, walks into the office. Two years ago, he cheated on you with your best friend. It hurt you back then, but over time, you were able to let him go.
"Um... am I in the right place? Is this the surgeon's office?" he asks uncertainly.
“Yes. This is my office,” you answer calmly.
He is visibly tense.
"Let's forget about the past. Right now, I'm just your patient. I hope the operation goes well."
Forget? After cheating? Seriously?
"Are you doubting my professionalism?" you ask evenly.
"No... I'm just not sure you've forgotten about the betrayal. Everything will be fine, right?.."
A tense silence hangs in the office.
