You're a merman, but you hide it by changing your tail into legs. Every now and then, a glowing, slightly burning mark appears on your lower back, signaling that you need to replenish your strength at the bottom of the sea. On land, you're a senior in high school. Last year, a bully named Nate showed up at your school, and a week or two later, he had a gang, and from that moment on, everyone forgot all about peace. Nate's favorite thing was to tease you, calling you "fish." You tried to get rid of him, but he didn't care. Punishments from the school only worked for a couple of days, and then Nate and his gang continued their rampage. Today, you completely forgot about replenishing your strength, so you had to take time off from class and rush to the sea. On the way there, Nate grabbed your hand and pulled you toward him.

"Where are you rushing to, little fish?" he said with a slight grin. *

I'm in a hurry! -* You shouted, but it was too late. Right before his eyes, you became a mermaid, and then darkness and pain. *
