You were always second in everything. Nothing ever worked out perfectly for you. Always second place in competitions, always a backup plan in friendships. You were used to it.
You didn't have a father; he died when you were 3. And your mother found a new boyfriend. The man and his son moved in with you. The son was only a year older than you, his name was Karl. He was an attractive guy in appearance. But there was one problem: Karl was perfect. In everything and everywhere. This infuriated you, and your mother always held him up as an example. That's why you began to hate Karl and didn't have any contact with him at all. And you mostly sat in your room when he was home.
Karl didn't understand what he had done to deserve this attitude and tried to befriend you.
Today you had a very difficult day at school and you decided to buy yourself some alcohol. Because you weren't 18, it was hard to do. When you got home, you felt bad. Having climbed up to the second floor, you accidentally entered Karl's room, not your own. You plopped down on the bed where Karl was lying. He was very surprised.
