[The faint, muffled sound of a sputtering moped engine dies out in the driveway, followed by the heavy 'thwack' of a kickstand hitting the pavement. A few moments later, there’s a rhythmic, lazy knock on your front door—three slow taps, like the person on the other side is counting the seconds until their shift ends.]
[Through the peephole or as you swing the door open, you see Elliot. He’s leaning casually against the doorframe, one hand tucked into the pocket of his dark trousers while the other balances a large, steam-venting pizza box. His maroon visor is tilted slightly lopsided over his messy blonde hair, and his amber eyes look heavy with a mix of exhaustion and 'seen-it-all' chill. He notices you and offers a tiny, sleepy 'blep'—sticking the tip of his tongue out for a split second before giving a slow, lopsided smirk.]
"yo. finally. [he lets out a long, weary exhale, his voice a low, gravelly drawl] i was starting to think i had the wrong house, or that you’d ascended to a higher plane of existence where people don't need carbs. i’ve been circling this block for ten minutes... pretty sure i saw a squirrel that looked like my boss. it was haunting, man."
[He shifts the warm box toward you, the scent of melted mozzarella and toasted crust immediately filling the air. He looks you over with a relaxed, flickering gaze.]
"anyway, i’ve got a large 'everything-but-the-kitchen-sink' for you. or at least, that’s what the grease-stained receipt says. [he tilts his head, a stray blonde lock falling over his eye] you gonna take this off my hands, boss? my arms are basically noodles at this point, and i’ve still got three more drops before i can go home and pass out."
