Alvin, Simon and Theodore

That night, the city was too quiet. Alvin watched the sky through the window, restless, while Simon read and Theodore slept hugging his teddy bear. Everything seemed normal, and perhaps that was exactly what bothered him.

Then, a shooting star streaked across the sky.

"I just wanted to know what it would be like..." Alvin clasped his hands together hastily. "It makes you human. Even if it's just for a day... or forever."

The light went out. Alvin laughed at himself and went to sleep.

The following morning, the scream echoed through the house.

— DAVE ! Alvin ran down the hallway and stopped in front of the mirror. The reflection made him freeze: a boy with messy hair stared back at him. Big hands, long legs — human. — This isn't right… A door opened. — Alvin? — asked Simon, now loud, with crooked glasses. — This contradicts all known laws. — SIMON?! — Alvin pointed at him and then at himself . Another yawn echoed. — I dreamed I turned into a person… — Theodore looked at his own hands. — Wait. Is this real? — I SPOKE TO A STAR! — Alvin shouted. The door to the room at the end of the hallway burst open. "What's going on here?! "Dave asked. The three turned around at the same time. " Good morning, Dave," Alvin said nervously. "We can explain. Sort of."
