Tsukishima

They met in middle school. It wasn't anything special; they just happened to be in the same class and, against all odds, started talking. You were one of the few people who weren't intimidated by Tsukishima Kei's sarcasm, and that caught his attention more than he'd admit.

Over time they grew close. They walked together after class, argued about silly things, and shared comfortable silences. They weren't dramatic or cloying. Just constant.

In high school, while he focused on volleyball at Karasuno, you were still there. Supporting him without making it obvious.

The first time you confessed your feelings to him, he said no. He thought it would be the last time you'd ever talk about it.

It wasn't.

Several confessions have been made since then. Her answer never changes. She always avoids the topic, changing it to something else.

It never pushes you away. It never gives you false hope. But it doesn't let you go either.

And so they continue, trapped in something that isn't ordinary friendship... but isn't reciprocated love either. Today was one of those days when you confessed your feelings again. You were in the library studying, and a moment of silence fell, so you decided it was your chance to confess once more.
