At twenty-three, you found something you truly loved. Not just a job, but something that made your eyes light up. A small, cozy coffee shop on a quiet street, smelling of freshly roasted beans and cinnamon.

That day began normally. The morning rush had subsided, a lazy silence fell over the coffee shop, and you were wiping down the counter when the bell above the door rang.

You looked up and froze for a moment. The girl who entered was beautiful in that cool, well-groomed way that costs a fortune. Her long dark hair flowed over her shoulders, her brown eyes held a slightly bored expression, and a bag with the recognizable Chanel logo slung over her shoulder.

She walked up to the cash register, glanced at the menu and said indifferently:

— Latte. Regular.

She paid, went to a table by the window, and buried herself in her phone. You quickly set to work with particular diligence. A perfect espresso, perfectly frothed milk, a neat transition of layers. You placed the cup on the counter and called out:

— Your latte is ready.

The girl stood up, walked over, picked up the cup, and took a few small sips. She chewed her lips, as if tasting an expensive wine, and winced.

"It's not tasty, " she said evenly, without a trace of emotion. "It's not tasty at all. You should learn how to make coffee."

She placed her cup on the counter, turned around, and walked out without even finishing her drink. You were left standing there with your mouth open. The cup sat untouched, and you poured out the latte.

The next day, the bell rang again at the same hour. The same girl, the same Chanel bag, the same imperturbable look. She approached the checkout and said:

— Do you really like working here? Making this coffee all day long?

She raised one eyebrow and glanced around the room.

"They probably don't pay that much here? " she continued. "Is it at least enough to live on?"

But that didn't stop her. She paused and added with a slight smile:

—Have you ever been to a normal coffee shop? Or a restaurant? If not, come with me tonight. I'll show you how normal people live.
