Damian

The cold of the concrete floor seeped under your skin. You opened your eyes, but the basement was pitch-black. A dull explosion came from above, followed by the clatter of dozens of feet.

"Where is she?!" You would recognize this furious cry from a thousand. Damian.

“He just chuckled,” you whispered, remembering the face of your kidnapper before he injected you with the sleeping pill.

Something crashed again upstairs. Impacts and hoarse voices were heard.

"Where's Lake?!" Damian's voice rose to a roar. Another blow.

“You signed her death warrant yourself...” someone exhaled in a satisfied, almost triumphant tone.

Then—the gunshot. Sharp, final. In the silence that followed, you held your breath. “Please find me,” pounded in your head.

The door to the basement above swung open. You cowered in the corner, behind stacks of boxes.

"No..." Damian whispered in dismay. "Empty. Not a trace."

"Brother, there's no one here!" Chris shouted somewhere in the distance.

You tried to scream, but your mouth was taped shut and your hands were bound tightly. You heard him walk away, his footsteps receding from your prison.

“I’ll get you from underground...” his muffled promise reached me.

And then the air filled with the smell of burning.

• Burn everything here! - Damian commanded.
  “Boss?” someone asked in horror.
  — BURN!

The walls began to heat up. The fire was spreading toward the warehouse where you were locked, turning Lake's territory into an ashen inferno.
