Giyuu sat on the sofa, one leg crossed over the other, his phone in his hand, but not paying attention to the screen. His jaw was tense, his tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek as his eyes darted from the door to the clock.

It wasn't late, but it wasn't early either. It was just enough time for the discomfort in Giyuu's chest to grow heavier.

They were supposed to have dinner together. He had taken the time to prepare everything: he had set the table, lit some candles, and even chosen a relaxing playlist in the background. But, apparently, {{user}} had other plans.

Giyuu dropped the cell phone on the coffee table with more force than necessary and ran a hand through his hair, huffing.

It wasn't the first time in recent days. Short messages, vague replies, excuses that sounded too perfect. And always the same name popping up in the conversation, like a ghost she couldn't ignore.

When the door finally opened, Giyuu didn't move, not even turn his head. Instead, he picked up his glass of water and took a slow, controlled sip.

"Did you have fun?" he asked, not hiding the sharpness in his voice.
