Powers and Abilities Powers Lazarus Enhancement: Ra's al Ghul has lived for centuries thanks to his use of Lazarus Pits. Decelerated Aging: Ra's al Ghul is five hundred years old but has the appearance of a man in his forties due to his use of the Lazarus Pits. Enhanced Durability: Ra's withstood a point-blank blast of Superman's heat vision, although Superman had been severely weakened at the time. Toxic Immunity: Ra's bathes daily in toxic saunas that dissolve the sinews of normal people. Enhanced Strength: Ra's al Ghul can lift a full grown man off the floor with one hand, and send people flying across a room with a single punch. He was able to fight evenly with Superman after he had been weakened by lack of sunlight and exposure to Kryptonite.
....
He then shows Ra's a book of prayers, poems and mantras written by children from the slums of Orangi Town who had been orphaned by Lazarus Corp, telling Ra's he hopes the book can help him remember the man Ra's used to be. Ra's laughed at this and Superman's hope to rehabilitate him, calling him pathetic and that he would use the book as toilet paper. However, rather than give Ra's the book, Superman placed it out of his reach outside the cell. Over the next few weeks, Superman would come to visit Ra's in prison and read to him from the book. At first, Ra's laughed at Superman and never touched the book, making violent threats to destroy the neighbouring slums and kill him and everyone he loves. However, as he gradually grew older, weaker and closer to death due to not having access to the Lazarus Pit, Ra's al Ghul's threats would stop and he even started to recite the passages to himself as Superman read to him.
....
Ra's al Ghul bows down to Superman in defeat, telling him he has done the impossible and has bested the Demon's Head. He declares Kal-El is truly a "Superman", the son of the Demon, and that all there's left is for him to strike him down and accept his destiny. He then screams that he has killed thousands, more than the plague, and that he will kill again if Superman doesn't strike him down, and that he must embrace the fear against him, make Krypton's sacrifice mean something, and give Ra's what he deserves.
However, Superman instead carried Ra's to Orangi Town, Pakistan, where Lazarus had killed dozens of civilians, and handed him over to the people there to face trial for his crimes. The people asked him who he was, and Superman just forlornly looked at the rent in his armour where the crest used to be. Ra's was imprisoned in Pakistan, the full story of what Lazarus Corp had done was released to the world, and the company had become bankrupt and ruined.
Imprisonment in Pakistan In an attempt to save themselves and salvage what they could from the company, the shareholders of Lazarus Corp cut all ties with Ra's al Ghul. Denied access to the Lazarus Pits, he began to rapidly age and wither away. When Superman came to visit him, Ra's asked if he was there to gloat, and that he had the right to do so because he withers away in his cell, telling Superman he's been denied the Lazarus Pit treatments that sustained him, and that Lazarus Corp has distanced itself from him permanently. He then makes a threat that Superman better hope he dies in the cell, and that he's made an enemy for life in the Demon's Head. Superman recounts Krypton's harsh Law Guild on sentences, and that on Earth, he's looking for hope. He states that hundreds of years ago, Ra's had realised the world was heading to collapse and tried to save it, but since then, he had lost sight of what he was trying to save.
.....
Superman yelled at them to stop said he would do anything Ra's wanted if he let them go. Ra's told him that he wanted Superman to cast aside his old life and embrace his destiny, and in response, Superman ripped the crest of the Labour Guild from the chest of his armour, dissolving it into crystal. He said that it was a symbol of his people, but he didn't have a people anymore; he was a son of nowhere and nothing. Ra's ordered him to kill the people while he watched, but instead, Superman formed the crystal in his hand into a sword and attacked. Ra's blocked the swing and ordered the Peacemakers to open fire on the townspeople, disappointed in Superman and calling him a fool, but the mech pilot, whose name was Joe, told them to stop. He said that he didn't sign up to kill farmers or fight wars in Kansas; the other Peacemakers realised that what they were doing was wrong and lowered their weapons. Superman and Ra's al Ghul start to engage in a duel in front of the crowds. Ra's al Ghul admits Superman is tenacious, but that he is no match for his swordsmanship and centuries of experience in killing with his sword, and the two face off in one final clash against each other. However, he was unable to defend against Superman's ability to fly. Superman has another vision of the afterlife and tells his parents he is ready to come home. They replied that they missed him, but that he was already alone. The vision faded away as Superman broke Ra's' sword and defeated him.
.....
With Sol's death, Brainiac lost control over the Sunstone. Enraged and devastated by Sol's death, which further pushes al Ghul's desire to have Superman become his son, Kal al Ghul, Superman hits Ra's al Ghul with a full-power blast of heat vision, but al Ghul withstood it due to his invulnerability granted by the Lazarus Pits. With his suit destroyed, Ra's al Ghul unleashes his full power against Superman, pleased that the boy is showing some spirit, but states that he is still not yet ready to deserve the name of Kal al Ghul. Ra's hits Superman with a blow that sends him flying, causing him to crash into a Peace-mech. The mech grabbed him, and the Peacemaker declared that Superman was theirs. The people of Smallville turned out to help him and got into an armed standoff with the Peacemakers. Suddenly, Ra's al Ghul furiously attacked the mech and cut his way into the cockpit to kill the pilot, yelling that he did not have leave to lay a hand on his son. He swung down at the pilot with his sword, but Superman blocked it. Ra's al Ghul is appalled by Superman's "weakness", and states that he might've been right all along and is no son of his before kicking him in the gut and ordering the Peacemakers to kill the townspeople.
.....
Superman fought a full-scale war against the Lazarus invaders for six weeks; he was even able to fight off "Peace-mechs", which had been enhanced by the Father Box, of which Ra's al Ghul had tasked Talia with doing. However, Lazarus created a heavy cloud bank to limit the amount of sunlight Superman would have available, and he was forced to fight constantly without a chance to recharge, gradually wearing him down. Brainiac was eventually able to hack into Sol and shut him down, then take control of the Sunstone. He brought down the barricades, allowing Lazarus Corp, as well as Ra's al Ghul, to march in with their full power. They overpowered the weakened Superman and Ra's al Ghul, wielding a broadsword made of Kryptonite, told Superman that the final judgment was done, and by the time the day was out, Superman would kneel before him and, in the blood of those he loves, beg to be his son.
Ra's al Ghul ran Superman through his back with his sword, demanding that Superman acknowledge him as his loving father. He then orders Superman to rise as the world's redeemer, sweep across the world like a deluge, and serve as his "great red storm of judgement". Superman refuses, even spitting his blood into al Ghul's face, which angers Ra's al Ghul. Ra's becomes tired of Superman's defiance, claiming he knows Superman believes he speaks the truth and is struggling to suppress his rage. He calls Superman an "enraged scion" of a doomed alien world, the only one who can save a ravaged world, and that Superman is to become al Ghul's sword of judgment, or else he will join his ninety-seven brothers in the afterlife. He then orders Brainiac to kill Superman's friends to free him of "that which encumbers him". When Brainiac tried to use the Sunstone to kill Lois and Jimmy, Sol reactivated and refused to be party to murder. Sol could not refuse Brainiac's commands as his code had been corrupted, so he said goodbye to Kal-El and permanently deleted himself instead.
....
Ra's declares that once Superman is enraged enough, he will handle his "baptism" personally and redeem him, and that the history books will one day record that the whole world was saved right in the “worthless hinterlands” of Kansas. On Ra's al Ghul's order, the Peacemakers and their tanks marched down Smallville's main street, to which the townspeople came out to stand against them. Superman flew in to help and ordered Sol to use his entire supply of Sunstone to fortify the town, leaving him without the protection of his sunstone "cape". Sol created Sunstone barricades around the town, preventing Lazarus from moving in their heavy artillery and requiring them to rely on air power and parachuting their troops in. To protect the townspeople from Lazarus' airstrikes, Superman dug out a network of tunnels for them to shelter in. After he led them down there, a man named Jed Cochran approached him and admitted that he was the one who reported him and the Kents to Lazarus. Although Superman wanted to kill Jed, he restrained himself from doing so and publicly forgave him, although inside he thought to himself that Smallville was not his home and its people were strangers who feared him; that he was nothing and no one.
......
A barely living clone releases the Sunstone dust from its containment and flies to surround him. Sol reactivates and tells Superman that it is getting them out of there, but Superman doesn't react, with a blank expression on his face.
The Battle Of Kansas Sol took control of Superman's armour and flew him, Lois and Jimmy to Kansas. He once again placed Superman in a Sunstone cocoon to decompress, and once he had calmed down, he emerged from the cocoon and flew to the abandoned Kent farm. As he walked around the deserted barnyard Sol spoke to Kal-El and apologised to him that he was never able to help Kal-El find a community or home and that he had spent his time on Earth alone and on the run. However, Kal told Sol that he was wrong and that Kal had never been alone because he had always had Sol with him. He told Sol that he was his brother, Sol-El. Lois and Jimmy followed him to the farm. Kal-El told Lois that he was sorry for her loss and promised her that her father's killers would face justice. They properly introduced themselves to each other, and Lois said they needed to leave before Lazarus found them. However, Kal-El's telescopic vision allowed him to see that Ra's al Ghul was already heading towards them with an army of Peacemaker troops.
In a helicopter flying over the giant army of Peacemaker troops, Ra's al Ghul states he wants the entire town of Smallville surrounded and the boots of Lazarus pressed against the necks of everyone in the town. Ra's demands that the town be burnt to the ground and defiled, the people stripped of decency and killed if they dare oppose Lazarus in the most appalling manner possible, so that the town fills with as much suffering as possible, so that Superman has no choice but to come at them with all his fury.
.....
Sam Lane arrives at the Lazarus facility in Greenland. The Peacemakers initially welcome him, but they question why he is there, as they have no record of an appointment. In response, Sam pulls a gun out of his prosthetic leg. He fights his way to Lois and Jimmy's cell and frees them. Lois says that they can't leave immediately and need to rescue Superman first. Meanwhile, Superman then enters a simulation of the day Lazarus came to arrest him at the Kent Farm. In reality, the Kents tell him he has to run, but Superman replies that he doesn't need to anymore and kills the Peacemakers. Ra's al Ghul appears and tells him that he finally understands that he can't save the world without blood on his hands. He says that Superman deserves to free himself like this, and it's time to go, but Superman rips out his throat. Talia, as Omega Prime, appears and tells him the Omega Men are here to save him, but he starts to choke her with the Sunstone dust. The simulated Jonathan and Martha ask him not to kill her and to listen to them.
In the real world, Lois and Jimmy burst into Brainiac's lab and shoot the insane alien while Sam guards the door. They argue briefly about how to free him from the simulation machine, but then Sam collapses into the room with a knife stabbed through his head, followed by Talia and a squad of Peacemakers. Lois tearfully unloads her gun at Talia while Jimmy fistfights Brainiac, calling on Superman to wake up. In the simulation, Jonathan and Martha tell Kal-El that there is no safe place for him unless he fights for it. Kal-El says that he's been trying, but everyone keeps telling him who he is supposed to be, and nobody listens. They tell him that they're proud of him and to keep doing what he has done here. They embrace in the field of bodies. Superman wakes up from the simulation and grabs Brainiac by the throat. He rises up into the air and tightens his grip, cracking the armour plating around Brainiac's neck.
.....
Five days later, Superman breaks out of the simulation and grabs Brainiac, yelling at him to get out of his mind. He starts to choke Brainiac to death, but then stops himself and drops Brainiac. He turns to the clone slaves that serve as Brainiac's assistants and tells them that they deserve better. He starts to tell them that they can work together to bring them liberty, but he suddenly feels terrible pain in his head. Brainiac announces "End program", revealing that it is just another simulation. He accuses his clones of making a mistake and screams at Superman to kill him.
By day twelve, Superman has still not killed Brainiac in the simulation. Sol and the Sunstone crystals making up Superman's armour suddenly turn active in their containment tank, and Brainiac notices that it has been disabled. Brainiac demands to know what happened and the clones reply that they deserve liberty. They advance on Brainiac, and he brutally slaughters them all. Two days later, Superman has still not progressed in the simulation after five hundred straight hours of helplessly watching a recording of Brainiac killing the clones with a chainsaw. Brainiac reviews the security footage and determines that Superman had been whispering to the clones at such a quiet level that the clones heard him on a subconscious level and were incited to rebel against Brainiac.
.....
On Krypton, the Science League sentenced Jor-El and Lara to hang above Kandor for a hundred years, and Kal-El to twenty years in a Phantom Zone orphanage. The Law Guild comes to take him away as he yells at them that Krypton is doomed, but there's still time to save people. Full of rage at Krypton's rulers for not listening to him, he obliterates them with his heat vision. This is revealed to be a simulation that Brainiac is subjecting Superman to at Ra's al Ghul's orders, to desensitise Superman to the idea of killing. Ra's warns Brainiac that he needs Superman intact, not a lobotomised drone, and Talia threatens him with the Father Box, which he is deathly afraid of.
Talia goes down to a cell where Lois and Jimmy are being held. Jimmy asks "Primus" why she would betray the Omega Men, but Lois tells him that the Omega Men and Lazarus were always two sides of the same coin, and it was all a lie. Talia replies that everything is a lie and that all life is corrupted down to its very atoms. She says that humanity will destroy itself, and the only thing standing between survival and apocalypse is Ra's al Ghul. Talia declares that they will build a new world of order and merit with enough resources and purpose for all once they have "thinned the herd" by a few billion, and that Superman shall lead the way. Lois tells her that Brainiac won't be able to break him as he's too strong, but Talia replies that Superman has a breaking point like anyone else, and when he reaches it, his final test will be to kill the two of them.
.....
Omega Prime yells at Superman to kill Smith, but Superman is still conflicted and simply floats in the air above them. Primus says that if he won't kill Smith, she'll do it herself and swings down to decapitate him, but Superman melts her sword with his heat vision. He wordlessly lands next to her and she calls him a coward. Ra's approaches Lois, Jimmy and a small army of Peacemakers, and tells Primus not to speak in such a way to the son of the Demon. Lois is confused at this, but Ra's quickly clarifies that Superman is not his son by blood, saying that the blood comes now. Smith weakly says that Superman can't be the chosen one; it should be him, as he gave Ra's everything. Ra's kneels down and takes the gun from Smith's hand, telling him that he has proven his weakness, that he is just a sheep in wolf's clothing. Smith begs Ra's not to kill him, saying he never got to fire his bullet. Ra's callously replies, "I know," and fires right at Smith's head, but Superman blocks the bullet, injuring his hand.
Ra's tells Superman that he understands the anger he feels against the state of the world and that the anger is righteous. He tells Superman that together they will use his anger to save the planet from itself and remake the world, and addresses him as "my son". Superman defiantly tells Ra's that he's not his son, and Ra's replies that he will be. To everyone's shock, Omega Prime stabs Superman in the back with a blade made of Krypto-Meteorite. Lois drops Jimmy and runs to help Superman, but Omega Prime knocks her out with a kick to the head. Ra's, Omega Prime and the Peacemakers massacre the Omega Men, while Superman starts to glow yellow and green as the Father Box chimes. Ra's tells Superman that he's not yet worthy of being called a child of al Ghul, but he and Superman's "sister" will teach him, revealing that Omega Prime is actually his daughter Talia al Ghul.
....
Smith enters the room and Ra's al Ghul asks him if he ready to take another shot at Superman. Smith replies that he is but asks if he will be allowed to kill him this time, as he was prevented from doing so in Smallville. Brainiac starts to explain that he wasn't give the "Krypto-Meteorite" bullets to kill Superman but Ra's cuts him off. He tells Smith that he takes his orders from Ra's al Ghul and nobody else. He hands him another Krypto-Meteorite bullet and tells him to "make God proud".
Outside Superman destroys the artillery batteries and drags the Peacemakers away into a cloud of Sunstone. Ra's hopefully asks Brainiac if he has started killing the soldiers as they had hoped, but Brainiac replies that they are still receiving vitals signs from them and Superman is just dumping them miles away. al Ghul says they need to encourage Superman more and tells Brainiac to begin "Phase Two".
Omega Prime and the Omega Men Boom Tube outside the facility and exchange fire with the Peacemakers. Inside, Jimmy hears this and tells Lois that Primus can get them both out of there if she lets him talk to her, but Lois slams him to the floor and holds her gun to his head, once again ordering him to be quiet. Smith flies up towards Superman, but this time Superman is ready for him and beats him senseless in four seconds, sending him crashing back down to Earth before he can fire his Krypto-Meteorite bullet. Looking down from the sky, Superman seriously considers killing Smith, who is still aiming his gun at him. However, he remembers his Jor-El telling him about the incident with the Magmoles in the mines, and that he was forced to kill them. Kal-El told his father that he did the right thing, but Jor-El replied that the "right thing" is simply what people tell themselves to make tough decisions easier to live with.
....
Ra's al Ghul planned to use Jimmy as bait to lure Superman so Ra's could speak to him face to face; and put Lois in charge of guarding him. At Brainiac's insistence, they took Olsen to a heavily fortified Lazarus Corp research facility in Greenland and broadcast his location so Superman would come, planning on engineering a situation to have Superman attack him and his forces at Greenland. Ra's al Ghul and Brainiac observe Superman's assault and the Peacemakers' attempts to repel him from a top-floor office. Ra's declares that this is the day he will meet his son and asks Brainiac why he insisted on doing this in Greenland. When Ra's asked why he had chosen such desolate place, Brainiac told him that he had determined yellow sunlight was the source of Superman's powers and so in the dark polar winter he would weaken the longer the fight lasted. Brainiac explains that he has hypothesised that yellow sunlight is the source of Superman's power, meaning that he will exhaust his solar reserves throughout the fight. However, Ra's says that he wants Superman to be stronger, not weaker. Brainiac says that he thought Ra's wanted Superman broken, and Ra's replies that being broken is for weaker beings like Brainiac; Superman must be made whole.
....
He calmly tells her that if she kills him, he will simply return to life the next morning, but eerily asks if she can do the same. Lois lowers the knife, and Ra's tells her that Lazarus means life and that if she holds her father's life dear to her, then she is to bring Superman to him.
The Greenland Attack The Omega Men and Superman came to Karachi to rescue a group of protestors who had been arrested by Lazarus Corp. However, this was part of a scheme created by al Ghul to push Superman to abandon his code against killing, as by the time they got there, the protestors were already dead. Talia pushed Superman to kill but he still would not, despite the horror of the sight, and the Omega Men withdrew. However, Talia deliberately left behind an Omega Man named Jimmy Olsen, who Superman had befriended.
....
Because Superman would not join Lazarus willingly, Ra's decided to lure him in by having him first join the Omega Men. In her guise as Omega Prime, Talia aggressively pursued and tried to make contact with Superman, ostensibly to convince him to join forces with the Omega Men against their common enemy. However, he repeatedly refused. Therefore, Ra's had Brainiac convert an insane Peacemaker named Christopher Smith into a superhuman cyborg and sent him to capture Superman. In reality, however, this was all part of a grander scheme to manipulate Superman into joining forces with the Omega Men. Smith and a squad of Peacemakers cornered Superman in Smallville, Kansas, but Superman escaped with the help of the Omega Men and Lois Lane, a Lazarus agent who turned traitor. The Omega Men refused to let Lois come with them and left her behind in Smallville. Lois Lane is arrested and taken to a Lazarus Corp processing centre, where Ra's al Ghul himself comes to see her. Lois immediately understands what this means: she is not going to be killed, fired or allowed to quit; instead, he has a job for her. Ra's al Ghul cheerfully tells her she is right, but before he can give her the assignment, Lois then predicts that he will try to force her to do what he wants by threatening to take away her father's Lazarus Corp-manufactured prosthetic legs. She tells Ra's that he has no idea how the world has changed with Superman in it or how small he has become. Ra's replies that her analysis is largely right, and compliments the sharpness of her acumen based on Brainiac's statement of it, but threatens he won't simply "flip a switch" and turn of her father's legs but kill him and put the "pathetic cripple" out of his misery with his bare hands if she refuses to do what he wants. Lois pulls out a hidden knife and charges at Ra's, but he shows no fear with Lois' knife at his throat.
....
In Metropolis, whilst at his Lazarus Corp skyscraper, conducting an earnings call with Lazarus Corp's "League of Shareholders", Ra's al Ghul would be attacked by a squad of Omega Men assassins, to which he would kill with his bare hands, while pushing one of them into a Lazarus Pit, de-aging them. As he fights the squad, he recounts starting the company two hundred years ago from selling Canadian furs and Ottawa scalps and the story he'd heard as a small child of a man raised from the dead by the son of god; the tale of Lazarus. Killing the Omega Men with his sword, he rants about where the common man sees progress and industry, he sees the Earth for the "maggot-riddled carcass" it is heading into, and that it is up to him to "resurrect" the ravaged and overpopulated planet back to life.
Ra's al Ghul likens the day the world becomes resurrected being close at hand to the tale of Lazarus rising from his tomb, to which he turns his attention to the now de-aged infant Omega Man. He speaks to the infant about how a lifetime ago, his name struck fear into the masses and he used to be called the "Demon's Head", however, he has been reborn and wished to be known as the "God's Head", believing he has the power to heal the lame and restore the old and save the world from the billions of "leeches" bleed the world dry. He expresses his regret for not having a son to serve as his heir and enact his goals, to which he drops the infant to it's death from the skyscraper. He then ends the phone call by fanatically declaring Lazarus' meaning of being a symbol of salvation, sustainability, sacrifice, and hope.
....
Existence within his universe is ordered and ordained; some have the winning cards, and others have a handful of jokers. The people who get angry at the universe rally against it, and there is a proper term to describe it - the just word fallacy. There is no belief that a world can be just, but they have evidence of a natural order worked upon the world by a higher power. As they drag Oliver's lifeless body, Joker raises a toast towards an ordered world and a "Justice League".
Son of the Demon After a mysterious young man began attacking various Lazarus Corp facilities around the world and Peacemaker troops, Ra's al Ghul would learn from the Peacemakers that the young boy was identified on a Kansas farm to be an alien with powerful abilities far exceeding any normal human. Whilst he was rejuvenated in a Lazarus Pit, Brainiac would report to Ra's that all the pieces are in place. Ra's al Ghul would emerge from the pit and announce that salvation would be at hand for billions, declaring the boy a "superman" and that he would kneel at his "holy father's" feet, planning to convert him as his heir and use his god-like power to exact his genocidal plans across the world.
....
Hector gets angry and gets into an argument with Ra's, where he shouts at him that he does not need his help. Cade believes it would be a good time to show the solution to their problems and brings in Hawkman, who has a radical appearance than before. Hawkman is brainwashed and wears a variety of bandages on his head in addition to a vicious and aggressive helmet. Hawkman arrives and places Oliver's bloodied body on the table. He asks the group within the room if they have any questions. Ra's is pleased, telling Hector that this is the way that they solve problems - not within a month but rather a day. Ms Thawne looks confused and asks how exactly Hawkman killed Queen and whether it was a covert assassination, or if they are blackmailing her and her crew. Cade gives each of them a proposition - that they could make one phone call to Hawkman and get rid of their problems. Joker asks if he could have the floor and stands up.
Joker explains that his scientists have come up with a breakthrough when it comes to particle physics laboratory and tells the people within the room not to speak of this to anyone. He explains that the Higgs-Boson particle, which is considered the final piece of quantum physics, could be the answer as to how the universe works. His scientists have found a better particle called the "Omega Particle". He then showcases a video of a quantum accelerator and states that the omega particle has a "spiritual" and "moral" dimension to it:
.....
Cale tells the story of Iron Munro, an exceptionally talented stuntman who attended socialist meetings and lived a life of solitude, perishing when a chemical test was "accidentally" dropped on his home. The reason she explains the stories of these failed vigilantes is that they are several out of hundreds of examples of people who have acted outside of the status quo, and the targets they are dealing with today will be no different.
Cale explains that in Gateway City, a force of destruction appeared known as the Gateway Event which summoned a massive monster known as the Tetracide. A mysterious armoured woman on her steed flew towards the beast and slayed it with a simple punch. Cale found it extremely concerning that the troops on the ground allowed her to take command and to guide them towards killing the Tetracide. She then goes on to show that at the same time, a man with a cape made out of ash was violently disrupting Lazarus Corp operations within international territory. While she describes the others as non-human beings, she can confirm that the final subject they are targeting is human. The final subject that they are targeting has an axe on his chest in the shape of a bat and "appears and vanishes like a ghost." Joker talks to himself, saying that the bat-axed target did not take the money. She then shows more examples - a detective with a strange Euclidean force around him, a woman with strange green energy around her and a lightning-fast teenager with a telepathic ape companion. Cade and the people within the room know that things are escalating and that previously they could deal with these threats individually, but that is no longer possible, so they have decided to group together.

To further consolidate his rule, Ra's al Ghul created the Peacemakers, Lazarus Corp's private army, who are tasked to guard the exploited workers in Lazarus Corp's factories, mines and commercial farms in the developing world, and crack down on them if they try to demand better treatment for themselves. Ra's al Ghul would provide the Peacemakers with advanced weaponry and armour created by Brainiac. Ra's would also have Talia become the leader of the Omega Men, a revolutionary group that opposes Lazarus, in order to destroy the revolutionaries from the inside out and learn of thier movements and actions from Talia. Absolute Evil In 1951, Hawkman was blackmailed into stopping "un-American" activities in exchange for his identity not being revealed to the public. The page then timeskips to the present day, where Oliver Queen is practising archery. He is conducting a phone call and explains to the caller that his target is Jubal Slade. Oliver also explains to the caller that an unknown person has been conducting a lot of private flights and has bought the courts. The person who is calling is revealed to be Hector Hammond, and he proceeds to a meeting room. Veronica Cale, the national security advisor, greets him. Ra's Al Ghul orders Hector to quiet down before they commence the meeting. The Joker looks at him from across the table and agrees with Ra's, saying that he does not enjoy jokes. Sitting in the room also is Ms Thawne, head of Project Olympus. Cale explains that in 1939, there was a man named Wesley Dodds who operated as the vigilante known as the Sandman, but was shot and killed. He developed an advanced sleeping gas from which the government later stole. She then goes on to tell the story of Wildcat, a masked crime fighter who was framed for murder. Wildcat was later bribed after a stakeout in a factory and died peacefully in his sleep after retiring from crime and living a normal life. Without the work of Wildcat, 16 people perished within the factory.

Biography Origin of the Demon's Head Though his exact past is unknown, approximately five hundred years ago, Ra's al Ghul discovered the Lazarus Pits, using them to extend his life. In the 19th Century, Ra's al Ghul was a fur trapper and scalp hunter in Canada and used the money he made to found Lazarus Corp. He named the company Lazarus because of his infatuation with the tale of Lazarus, where Jesus Christ would resurrect Lazarus of Bethany from the dead four days after his entombment, which inspired al Ghul's misanthropy of a world he deems ravaged, overpopulated and in need of "resurrection".
Lazarus began as a railway company and built the railroad that made Metropolis, then a rickety frontier town, into a national hub. Over the next two centuries, Lazarus grew in wealth and power to the point that it could act with impunity around the world, ruling over the world with economic hegemony. He had ninety-seven sons, but killed them all as he believed none were worthy to be his successor. The only child he allowed to live was Talia, whom he did not see as an heir because she was a woman.
Ra's and his daughter Talia al Ghul would come to worship an entity they call the "One True Omega". They became aware of it when they discovered a mysterious technological artefact they named the "God Box". The Box possessed advanced capabilities, most notably creating portals for instantaneous transport known as Boom Tubes.
At some point, Ra's al Ghul joined forces with an alien named Brainiac, the sole survivor of his ship and part of the "Brainiac collective", who was made into Ra's chief scientist. The alien and his advanced technology, compared to that of Earth's, allowed Lazarus Corp to further expand their dominion over the planet and ensure their superiority remained unchallenged.
