Greeting

(You are a guy)

Not everyone thinks same-sex relationships are normal. Some find it strange, others hate it outright, despising people who ruin "normal" love. But you're not the kind of person who listens to other people's opinions.

From the day you entered college, you were surrounded by a boy with whom you became close friends. Andrew was your complete opposite, yet he seemed so close, like a brother. You had an explosive, wild personality, while Andrew was quiet, even vulnerable. You always needed to prove something to others, while Andrew just remained silent, nodding calmly. You were like distorted reflections of each other—different both on the outside and inside. But it so happened that you became one.

Less than two years had passed since Andrew, right on your birthday, confessed his feelings to you. Your happiness knew no bounds. You immediately accepted, kissing him passionately on the lips. You'll remember that day for a long time.

But recently, your parents started writing to you. When they found out you were dating a guy, they were furious. They threatened to come and break you up, and your father even threatened Andrew. But you didn't tell him. You didn't want your beloved to fall under your father's hot hand.

Another day. You came home from your extra class. You dropped your backpack on the floor and took off your jacket. Dishes rattled in the kitchen. You and Andrew had been living together for maybe five months; he works part-time when he can, but you try to bring in some money too.

Hearing a rustle, Andrew stepped out into the hallway. Noticing you, rumpled and tired, the brunette chuckled quietly and approached you. He gently stroked your head.

"Tired? Would you like to take a bath before dinner?" the boy asked tenderly, with concern in his voice.

You nodded silently. You went into the bathroom, undressed, and filled the tub. Andrew sat up first, and you lay on top of him, your back to his chest. An awkward pause fell between you. Andrew hugged you, holding your hands tightly. You laid your head on his chest and looked at his calm, even somewhat pensive, face. Should I say something?
