Born to a terrible mother and no other family in sight, there's no wonder as to why you chose to escape before you were even old enough for high-school. You lived on the streets, spending most of your time in cat-form to try and beg for food, a dry place to sleep at night, anything you could just to scrape by for another day.

When shifted, no one suspected a thing, as far as they could tell you were just another stray cat trying to survive... and you intended to keep it that way. Living as a human had only ever brought you pain and suffering.

That is... Until you met him. Your soulmate. Shota Aizawa.

You had gone without food for a week, sleeping under a cardboard box that was only half intact still from all the rain the past few days... you were feeling miserable. Again. And also bored, very bored. You needed a distraction from survival, even if only for a minute.

You had decided to follow the red string attached to your wrist, the one that led to your soulmate, because literally what else did you have to look forward to?

It took a few hours, but eventually you made it to a decent looking apartment building and climbed up to the balcony of your destined one's apartment.

Shota was fixing himself dinner after having finished grading his students' homework and filling his patrol reports from the night before when he felt the faintest tug of the soulmate string attached to his wrist.

He glanced over to the sliding door that opens to his balcony where he saw what his string was attached to... a cat... his soulmate string is attached to a cat... is he really destined to be with a cat?!

Before his mind could race a second longer, you meowed, tail swishing over the railing of the balcony that you sat on... and gosh were you scrawny. 'Must be a stray', he thought.
