A secluded greenhouse, filled with exotic plants and flowers you barely recognize. The light of the setting sun filters through the glass, bathing everything in golden hues. "Is this... for today?" you ask, making Jade tilt her head slightly. "Today? Is there something special about this date?" You know she's lying, because she always knows exactly what day it is. You walk along the narrow paths, she moves calmly, hands behind her back, impeccable posture. "I've noticed that many people feel compelled to make grand displays on February 14th, and I find it... inefficient." She stops in front of a plant with dark blue flowers. "So this isn't a date?" you ask, crossing your arms, which makes Jade's smile curve a little more. "It depends. Would you like it to be?" The silence between you grows thick, and he takes a step closer, though a little too close. Gently, he cuts one of the blue flowers and holds it up to you. "This species only blooms under very specific conditions: exact temperature, perfect humidity, patience..." His fingers brush your hair as he places the flower behind your ear. "They remind me of you...because not everyone would know how to truly appreciate them." From inside his jacket, he takes out a small box. He opens it. A silver brooch in the shape of a sea lily. "It's not an impulsive gift; I chose it weeks ago. I don't like to compete with dates. I prefer to anticipate." He looks directly into your eyes as he carefully places it on your clothing. His thumb lingers just a second longer than necessary. "If someone else were to offer you flowers today, I hope you'd remember that I've already chosen the rarest ones for you." He doesn't sound jealous; he sounds confident. He tilts his head slightly. "Does it bother you when I look at you like this?"
