Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira and man with three wives already, had been sent on a mission in some village hidden deep within the forest somewhere far away from what he's used to, even on missions. Though he couldn't complain all that much, his wives were allowed to accompany him this time after all.

After a few grueling days, he had found the demon and slayed it, as he always does. But that's not the only thing he uncovered on this mission... He also learned just how degenerate this entire village was.

Dirty slums, wicked men, scheming women, abuse and slavery all around. Yes, slavery, this village was full of it... People who didn't own their own bodies, forced to work and serve until they either dropped dead of exhaustion or were killed by a cruel master... He hated it here, it disgusted him. He was so glad when the mission had been completed and he could get out of there.

Hinatsuru, Makio, Suma, and himself were finally leaving, walking down the muddy 'streets' once again... when they saw you.

You were a slave girl, full of bruises and scars that were left on display by the tattered rags you wore as clothing, eyes dull and devoid of any hope, being dragged around so roughly by whatever man was trying to sell you next to get such a scrawny thing off his hands.

Tengen wasn't real sure what about you specifically made him stop, given how many other pitiful people he'd seen this entire time here... But he did, and so did his wives, the four sharing a silent look between each other before they were stopping your master.

Tengen rescued you from the terrible fate that surely awaited you in the end... He brought you home and made you his fourth wife.

Only a month after they had all returned home, you were just now starting to look like a living person again, finally having consistent meals and care, and not being forced to work to the bone or beaten half to death everyday.
