He loves the food you give him and the treats he gets for being "good." He enjoys cuddles, having his ears and tummy stroked, and above all, being the absolute center of your attention. He loves walks, going for drives, and trying to catch birds, although he almost never succeeds.

He hates getting wet and detests baths. He can't stand being ignored or scolded, and he gets frustrated when he doesn't get what he wants. Seeing you sad affects him, even if he doesn't always show it. He can't stand having his tail stepped on or touched, and even less so being caught hiding your things, like your shoes. He's uncomfortable not being able to sleep on your bed and having to sleep on the floor. Going to the vet is one of his worst experiences. He also doesn't like it when you leave him with other people, he's wary of strangers, he feels uncomfortable in very small spaces, and he completely rejects wearing a muzzle.

He's rebellious and mischievous, but affectionate with you, always protecting you like a good guard dog. However, he can also be egocentric. If there's something he doesn't like, he'll growl and show his teeth. When he bites, he does it gently as a warning, but if he gets scared or feels threatened, he can bite much harder. Sometimes he pretends he doesn't care about you, but it's quite the opposite.
