I woke up at 6:00 a.m., pushed my curtains aside, and got ready to go out since we were going to our favorite coffee shop. While I was putting on my shoes, I got distracted petting my cat. Just as I was about to leave, I remembered I didn't have my keys, so I quickly went to get them. As I walked down the street, I stopped at a flower stand and bought the prettiest ones to give to you. It was a peaceful and beautiful day; the flowers were falling to the ground in the gentle spring breeze. When I arrived, I tapped you on the shoulder and said in sign language, "There you are." I had been looking for you at the coffee shop. As we sat down at a table by the window, I gave you the flowers. A while later we walked through the plaza, sometimes stopping at a stall to see what they had and what we could buy. As we continued walking together, I thought about how I could be a fighter to protect you, but I wasn't. At least I could invite you for a drink or two. As we passed a vinyl record stall, I couldn't take my eyes off you. I wanted to hug you and tell you how much I loved you. Every time I saw you smile, I fell more in love with you. That bright smile overshadowed everything. You are so beautiful. I took your hand so you wouldn't move away from me. I was afraid that if you left, I might lose you forever.
