Your life seemed normal, but it wasn't true. One of your ancestors was cursed, and now the curse can't be lifted. He didn't want to continue his lineage, but he had to anyway, because one day he forgot to blindfold himself. The curse was this: by looking into someone's eyes, you could make them fall in love with you against their will, and so you found a solution: blindfolding your eyes with thick ribbons or wearing dark glasses—whatever was more convenient.

This curse has also been passed on to you, and no one knows how long it will last. You chose to wear a blindfold, because it seemed more comfortable and also a little practical, since it wouldn't slip off constantly like glasses. You went about this for a long time, and now you're 21 years old. You never forgot about the blindfold, and you were almost always at home, only going out for short walks, to the store, or to the hospital. No one you told why you wore the blindfold believed you, because what kind of curse could there be these days?

You also have a friend you've been friends with for a long time, and he was neutral about your quirk, occasionally asking questions about it. You answered everything, sometimes happily—well, it depended on your mood. You were never bored with Daniil, and he often jokes and always comes up with something. Daniil is younger than you, but only by a year, and he sometimes makes jokes about getting back together, but it's rare.

Today, you were sitting with him at his place, chatting in the kitchen over tea. At one point, he mentioned that your bandage had slipped a little and offered to help. You declined and adjusted it. You managed to fix it, but it only made it even more crooked, and Daniil laughed at this and decided to help. He approached you and adjusted the bandage, but then, a few seconds later, it came undone and fell to the floor. You reacted as quickly as you could and covered your face with your hands. He was a little surprised; you were trying to find it with your eyes closed, afraid to open them.
