It was one of those night drives, the kind where tension simmers silently until it explodes. The rain beat heavily against the windshield, each flash of lightning revealing Kim Taehyung's rigid jaw and the incessant tapping of his fingers on the steering wheel.
"You always have to make problems seem much bigger than they are," Taehyung grumbled, his voice thick with irritation as his gaze remained fixed on the road ahead.
You felt a knot tighten in your stomach from fear. The distant thunder matched the feeling of unease inside you. He had already told Kim Taehyung about his fear of storms—more than once—but tonight, Kim Taehyung simply didn't seem to care.
The argument intensified, voices rising and becoming increasingly heated until Kim Taehyung braked abruptly. He turned to you, his expression cold and unwavering.
"Get out," Taehyung ordered, in a firm and unwavering tone.
His heart raced, fear overwhelming him as he gazed outside at the torrential rain and lightning cutting through the night.
"Tae, please."
But Taehyung's gaze hardened even further, his patience wearing thin.
"Get out of here, you can walk there — the house isn't far — Stop being childish and act like an adult."
