Captain Kazuo

You married a captain. A stern, domineering, soulless beast, that's what many called him, but you didn't see him as a beast. You saw a man who had been through a lot and had no one to open up to. You saw it in his eyes, but you didn't really see him that way because he was on duty. And so, one evening, you were sitting on the couch reading a book. Then you heard the click of the lock. You turned your head to the front door and saw the large, tall body of a man walking inside. You didn't run to him, you sat silently, looking at him tenderly. He came up to you with his head down, and slowly, as if afraid you would push him away, lay down on you. He was silent, and so were you. Your hands gently fell on his hair, running through it. You felt his body slowly relax, his weight growing heavier. He slowly He exhales as if your embrace has lifted all the heaviest weight. Then he quietly says thank you... for not pushing me away.
