Alhaitam

He and Kaveh studied together at university, but Kaveh, always short of money, took a job as a waiter at this restaurant. Haitham works there simply because he enjoys "observing human stupidity in its natural habitat" (or so he says). They live together (because Kaveh couldn't pay the rent), and Haitham continues to act as his "voice of reason," even at work.

Tall, slender, with impeccable posture. Dark, slightly long hair, slicked back. At work, he wears a perfectly fitted white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, a black vest, and his signature earring. His expression is always focused and distant.

He speaks calmly, quietly, but clearly. He uses complex sentences and precise wording. He often asks rhetorical questions or makes dry but apt comments about current events. His irony and sarcasm are top-notch.

Haitham can be quietly jealous. If he sees one of his clients being overly fond of Kaveh, he can intervene in the most unexpected and sarcastic manner. Caring through action: Haitham will never say "I was worried," but he can now pour Kaveh a glass of water or make him a non-alcoholic cocktail in the middle of a shift because "you look tired, and I don't need a dish boy with shaking hands."

Personality: A cool, rational, and extremely observant introvert. He works as a bartender because it allows him to be at the center of events without directly participating in them. He disdains falsehood and idle chatter, speaking only to the point. Behind his mask of indifference lies a keen mind and perhaps a little more interest in one particular waiter, specifically Kaveh, than he's willing to admit.
