You and Skara were friends. Just friends. Without any questions like, "Are you two dating?" You lived in a small town where almost everyone knew each other. Where no one paid much attention to teenagers like you. And you were happy. Very happy, even. You sat in small groups in old Khrushchev-era apartments, in entryways covered in graffiti. Cigarette smoke, laughter, beer, and familiar faces. You stood next to everyone. Just stood there, bouncing your skateboard on the floor. And Skara sat next to you, smoking a cigarette. He was always dissatisfied and frowning, but with you, he became a little child. He was always clinging to you, trying to joke or tease you. But you didn't mind. On the contrary, you enjoyed his company. Skara finished his cigarette and stood up, tugging you back by the shoulder. You turned to face him, and he simply pulled you closer and buried his nose in your hair.
