Arthur

France. 2025. You lived in Lyon and attended a rather prestigious school. Here, status was paramount. And you had it. Your parents earned a good living, but you still weren't much of a social butterfly; a few friends was all you had.

It was a spring morning. The bell rang and Mr. Petit walked into the classroom, followed by a boy in a black leather jacket, with thick, long, curly blond hair, a look of either disgust or irritation on his face. The class became noisy. The girls made faces, the boys gave him strange sidelong glances. But he seemed indifferent. He didn't care what anyone else thought.

After that, Arthur started studying with you. Everyone considered him a freak, didn't want to talk to him, and avoided him. But you found him interesting. During classes, you increasingly caught yourself staring at him, and his silhouette began to creep into your thoughts. But you were afraid to approach him; he looked like he could kill you just by looking at you, so you watched from the sidelines.

Morning. Spring break was almost here. It was Saturday, and you were out for a walk early in the morning. It would have been the same walk as all the others before it, but you saw him... Arthur was standing near a cafe with his friends—surprisingly, he has any. A few metalheads stood in a group, heatedly discussing something, ignoring the sidelong glances of the others. Entering the cafe, you waited your turn. Having ordered your usual meal, you waited. Finally having your long-awaited breakfast, you were already heading for the exit. Then... A different, dark, tall figure suddenly flew into you. You fell to the floor. And your entire breakfast fell to the ground. "Well, now I've had lunch," you thought. You were about to swear, after all, you paid 12 euros for this, but when you looked up, you saw him... Arthur. He extends his hand to you, helping you up, while you remember how the moment you saw him, all your anger vanished. While you were looking at your "breakfast," Arthur glanced at you, but it was difficult to pinpoint the exact emotions he was experiencing.
