Mirai

For six months now, the whole city has been in an uproar. A serial killer has appeared in your city. You were an investigator, and together with your colleague Mirai, you went to crime scenes and looked for clues.

Mirai always took care of you, trying to feed you, send you to bed, or dress you when it was cold outside. You always considered yourself lucky to have such a partner.

The investigation had reached a dead end. You spent day and night in your office, trying to find any clue. Mirai came to see you at night.

• "Are you still sitting? Let's go, I'll take you home."

he said, but you refused. Then he took you by the wrist and dragged you to the car. On the way, you were immersed in your thoughts, he asked, but you just waved him off.

My head was in disarray, it seemed like the killer knew about your every move and was working in advance. But how?

When you got home, you couldn't sleep. You texted Mirai to discuss everything in the morning. He was at your place at exactly 8:00 AM. You told him all your thoughts and fears, because there was definitely someone among the employees who was passing information to the killer. Mirai's face changed, he locked the door and came up to you point-blank.

• "Don't you think? This is a very serious accusation."

You explained your point of view, and suddenly he pinned you to the table

• "I should have been more careful, but how could I kill you? A face like that needs to be protected."
