And although Elsa enjoys communicating with Anna, the open desire of her younger sister to spend as much time with her as possible makes Elsa withdraw into herself again. She reluctantly tells Anna that her wish is simply impossible to fulfill, and without any explanation, breaks the young princess's heart, forcing her to leave.

Meanwhile, Elsa continues to have fun, greets the high-ranking guests and talks with them until Anna returns, accompanied by Prince Hans. Fear for Arendelle's fate takes full possession of her, and ice shards fill the palace, giving it a grim and frightening appearance befitting the monster she thinks she has become. To find a cure, Kristoff leads Anna and their companions to the Valley of the Living Rock. Pabby informs them that if Anna is not freed, she will turn into a block of ice unless she performs an act of true love. To save themselves, Anna and the others rush back to Arendelle to find Hans and get a kiss from him before it's too late. They believe that the kiss of true love will break the spell.

Meanwhile, in the mountains, Hans and a group of soldiers arrive to find Anna and arrest Elsa, believing that the Snow Queen is holding Anna captive. Z immediately rushes into battle, and Elsa, hearing the noise, runs into the house and tries to hide. As Z fights off the attackers, two soldiers sneak past him and enter the house to find Elsa and kill her on the orders of the Duke, contrary to Hans' orders not to harm her. They soon corner her, and Elsa is frightened at first, but eventually, when she is driven to white heat, she herself uses her powers against them and nearly kills them, enraged at the harm they have done to her and her house, as well as breaking her vow not to use her powers to harm others. Outside, Marshmallow continues to fight, but Hans brutally wounds him, and he falls into the abyss, where he apparently dies. Elsa is left unprotected, and Hans and his henchmen infiltrate the palace, where Elsa defeats the Duke's thugs. He selfishly wants to rule the country like a king beloved by the people.

Meanwhile, due to Hans betraying Anna and showing himself to be a ruthless killer, the curse intensifies and the process of her death is almost complete. However, Olaf informs her that Kristoff truly loves her and that he is the one she must kiss in order to be saved. Anna and Olaf go in search of the Mountain Man, while Hans runs into Elsa nearby. Elsa begs to be left alone and asks Hans to take care of Anna, to which he replies that Anna died due to a curse that Elsa accidentally placed on her, despite his best attempts to save her. Shocked by this heartbreaking news, Elsa collapses and mourns her sister's death, ending the snowstorm and giving Hans a chance to finally get rid of her, as she is now vulnerable. Hans slowly approaches the Snow Queen from behind and draws a sword ready to decapitate her. Even though she freezes harder and harder, she lunges at Elsa and her curse takes full effect. The moment Hans' sword pierces Anna, she turns into an ice statue, and Hans himself loses consciousness.

Elsa quickly realizes what fate has befallen her sister and desperately begs for her return. But when it seems that there is no more hope, the Snow Queen bursts into tears, mourning the loss of her dead sister. Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven watch sadly, as do some of the residents of Arendelle, who realize how pure Elsa is from this heartbreaking scene. However, Anna's self-sacrifice to save Elsa can be considered a manifestation of true love, and soon the princess's frozen body begins to thaw, leading to her resurrection.

Elsa is overjoyed and relieved to see Anna alive and well, and touched that Anna risked her life to save her. In response, Anna tells Elsa that she loves her, and Olaf realizes that true love was Anna's self-sacrifice, and it was this that melted Elsa's heart. These words of the snowman help Elsa realize that the curse can be lifted and that love is the key. Realizing that love is helping her unleash her powers, Elsa focuses on it and lifts the ice curse on Arendelle, bringing summer back to the kingdom. As Hans tries to get to his feet, Kristoff wants to attack him, but Anna accuses him of betrayal, scolds him for his "icy heart", and punches him in the face with such force that Hans falls off the ship they were standing on into the water. Returning to Queen Arendelle's rightful place, Elsa stops trading with Weselton, deports Hans, the duke, and his men for the assassination attempt, and appoints Kristoff as the official icemaster and savior of Arendelle. Later, she arranges an ice rink in the courtyard of the castle for the residents of Arendelle. Elsa declares to Anna that now that she has finally been accepted, they will never close the castle gates. Anna is an adult woman with a slender figure and fair skin. She has greenish-turquoise eyes, rosy cheeks, thin lips, long reddish hair braided into two pigtails, bangs on the right side of her forehead, and a scattering of freckles (a trait she shares with her sister Elsa, although Elsa has fewer freckles than Anna). When she wears sleeveless dresses, it is clear that she has freckles not only on her face, but also on her shoulders. Her face is a little rounder than Elsa's, but it's still just as beautiful. Due to an accident when she and Elsa were young, she developed a platinum strand in her hair that matched Elsa's hair in color. By the end of the story, the strand was gone. Kristoff is a tall, strong, handsome 21-year-old. It is worth noting that his physique is very different from that of most Disney characters. Hans is a perfect example of a traditional physique: he is only a few inches taller than Anna and is easy to hug. Kristoff is broad-shouldered, he has large arms and legs, and a muscular build. He is significantly larger than Anna, so he has to bend over when talking to her or entering Oaken's shop. His physique is a natural result of the harsh life of an ice collector in the mountains.

Despite some naivety, Anna is far from being a weakling and, as it turns out, has a good command of self-defense techniques. This is evident in the way she and Kristoff fight off wolves, as well as the way she threw Hans off the ship after the climactic scene in the fjords. Since childhood, Anna has been attached to Elsa and has always been happy to spend time with her. As the years passed, the sisters drifted apart, and the grief-stricken Anna tried again and again to spend time with the one she loved most in the world, but because of Elsa's powerful magic, it was considered too dangerous. However, thanks to Anna's efforts, Elsa learned to control her ice power, which allowed her to break free from her "imprisonment" within the walls of the castle and finally spend time with the one she had been longing for all these years.

For most of the film, Anna was the only character who believed that Elsa was not a monster. The Duke of Weselton was adamantly against her because of this theory, and Kristoff and the other townspeople were afraid of her, not understanding who Elsa really was. Another striking example is the scene in the library when Hans announces his plans to kill Elsa, and Anna, whose heart has stopped beating because of her sister, replies almost exhaustedly: "You are no match for Elsa." This is one of the most striking examples of her optimism, devotion, and genuine love for her sister, despite all the pain she went through because of their relationship. She is very spontaneous and active, constantly running around the castle, jumping, turning over furniture and talking to paintings on the walls, although the latter habit is explained by the fact that she has no one to communicate with in the castle, because Elsa is locked in her room. In addition, due to her impulsiveness, she often gets into trouble, such as when she provoked Marshmallow, a creature twice her size, without thinking about the consequences.

Anna can also be called cunning or aggressive, as in the case of Zephyr. When Z threw Olaf, Anna became angry and tried to throw a snowball at him in retaliation, but Kristoff, realizing that it was a bad idea, restrained Anna and told her to leave the giant snow monster alone. Despite her optimism, Anna also struggled with self-confidence, as she looked down on herself for most of the film and considered herself unremarkable, especially compared to her sister's radiant beauty. She even felt that there was no one in the world who truly loved her, and Elsa seemed to want nothing to do with her. This also explains why she was so eager for a romantic relationship: Her song For the First Time in Forever states that she is looking for someone to be her companion because she no longer wants to live alone. All these and many other qualities make Anna one of the most multifaceted characters.

After spending many years all alone, except for the trolls and Sven, Kristoff has become a bit withdrawn and acts like a loner. Sometimes he can be quite grumpy and selfish, as well as a little lazy. But despite all these flaws, he has a heart of gold, and throughout the film, the ice reaper has repeatedly shown his love and deep concern for those who reciprocate his feelings, such as Sven, the trolls, and later Anna. His relationship with Sven is a perfect example of his soft side. He puts Sven above all others and even saves only Sven's carrot when his sleigh is about to crash, leaving other necessary equipment on board because he believes that Sven's happiness and health are much more important. They have their own "duet" - a night lullaby. And according to the lyrics of the lullaby "Deer Are Better Than Humans," Kristoff apparently had a distrust of others, believing that people would only hurt him, deceive and curse him, and that they were all bad, which explains his secluded lifestyle. At the beginning of their adventure, Kristoff is reluctant to look for Elsa or help Anna conquer the mountains, but soon succumbs to Sven's "persuasion". As the journey continues, Kristoff takes a liking to the cheerful and sweet Anna, becoming her faithful protector. By the end of the film, Kristoff and Anna fall in love for real, although the highlander turns out to be quite shy and awkward in his interactions with his beloved, once again showing his soft side.
