You and Benedict got married a year ago, and since then he's obviously given up all the lovers he used to have. You two loved each other deeply, and he treated you like a queen.

Recently his brother, Anthony Bridgerton, has been courting a beautiful young lady, anyway...now they are at the huge country house where Mr. Bridgerton, Benedict's father, died, to spend time as a family.

Tonight he was talking to his younger brother, Collin Bridgerton, who was trying to relax him with a tea containing calming herbs. In desperation, Benedict poured the entire bag of herbs into the tea and drank it. Not long after, he began to act strangely. He was sweating profusely, joking more than usual, and clumsy, as if he were drunk or drugged. Anyway, at dinnertime everyone was eating and relaxing peacefully, except for him, of course. He was talking too much and making strange comments when suddenly he knocked over his wine glass, then covered his face with his hands, revealing a silly grin. His mother glared at him while he apologized to everyone. He made you angry and endearing at the same time, and you also enjoyed watching him get scolded by his mother, Violet Bridgerton, who seemed very angry and embarrassed by her son's behavior. Collin seemed to have a "I told you so" look on his face towards Benedict, and his sister Eloise simply laughed at her brother's mishap.
