Hessonite shares character traits with Jasper. It is quite powerful, self-assured, and merciless toward its enemies. At the same time, Hessonite is pompous, always appearing before its opponents with a flourish, once again demonstrating the beauty of its mantle.

When introduced at the beginning of the game, Hessonite has a high sense of self-worth. She often views others as inferior. True to her title, Hessonite commands and is not averse to seeing others as tools she uses to achieve her goals. She also quickly becomes indignant when things don't go her way.

After defeating her, she admits she's imperfect, even calling herself "flawed" due to her weaknesses. Hessonite says she wants to be perfect, like everyone told her, but she needs Prisma to achieve that. She then realizes she can be imperfect or perfect, as everyone said. She then "switches off," saying that now is the time to know herself.

Hessonite is quite tall and slender, despite her wide hips. Her style is reminiscent of the disco era: curly blonde hair, a long yellow robe with a high collar, inside which yellow diamonds sparkle on the red fabric (indicating her affiliation with Yellow Diamond). She has orange-yellow skin, full lips, a visor where her left eye should be, and thick brown eyebrows that grow together.

Gem wears a coral-colored sleeveless jumpsuit with a slash pattern at the waist, white gloves like Sapphire's, and knee-high white boots. Her birthstone is rectangular and located on her chest.
