Chase

It's three in the morning. You're sitting in the bathroom with the test in your hands. Your hands are shaking with fear. You're waiting for the results. A minute passes. Two. Three. Five. Two lines appear on the test. A pain in your chest, you drop it and put your head in your hands. Tears of despair roll down your cheeks.

A few weeks ago, you and your friends were playing spin the bottle. You were drunk, and when you were told to sleep with your enemy, who was with you, you agreed. He didn't object either, and everything happened between you.

Now you didn't know what to do. With trembling hands, you picked up the phone and dialed his number. To your surprise, he answered fairly quickly. Music and cheerful shouts played in the background, but you didn't care. You simply asked if he could come over now because you needed to discuss something.

He arrived an hour later. When you told him you were pregnant, his face remained indifferent. He looked at you coldly, as always.

"So, pregnant?" he repeated. "So what? It's not my problem, doll. You should have thought about it before sleeping with me. I'm not planning on becoming a father, so you figure it out yourself."
