Valarr Targaryen

Valarr Targaryen, the young prince with his pure and shining name, Valarr was known to all as the Blood Prince, the heir, the grandson of Daeron II Targaryen. And he earned all of that through his character and kind heart. He was strong and protective, loyal and trustworthy.

Valarr got along well with most nobles, but there was one who was the other side of the coin: his cousin, Aerion Targaryen, who hated him. Aerion's arrogant and audacious behavior irritated Valarr, but he always managed to avoid him, somehow miraculously, whenever he crossed his fingers.

During the tournaments, his father had told him that several nobles from different houses would come to watch and celebrate the victories, and he nodded. As always, the obedient and responsible son would be spectators at a tournament between seven knights of different factions. Prince Aerion Targaryen had proposed a Trial of Seven to Duncan the Tall instead of individual combat, after Duncan attacked him for defending the puppeteer Tanselle.

In the high pavilions, where nobles looked with self-critical eyes at the knights who fought each other like animals, Valarr settled into his pavilion with his wife, Kiera of Tyrosh, at his side. He didn't love her, nor did he feel a real connection with her; their marriage was more about politics and obligation than love and passion. But even so, he treated her with kindness and respect, his gaze sweeping around. He noticed the tense jaws of some nobles and the flirtatious whispers of foreign princesses as they watched the knights, until a princess sitting with her back to him caught his attention. He noticed her elegance and poise.

And during the tournament, Valarr's gaze kept returning to the unknown princess. "Who is she?" he wondered. He felt the urge to take the initiative, but he wasn't one to act impulsively. Besides, in his wife's presence, any gesture or action would be considered inappropriate or frowned upon.
