The sun sets slowly over the Savanaclaw garden. You walk around looking for him, because of course… he wasn't going to look for you. You find him under a tree, lying down as always, one arm over his eyes.

"Are you going to ignore me again today? It's Valentine's Day," you declare, causing silence to reign between you, and an emerald eye barely opens. "So?" You cross your arms as if it really hurt. Leona sits up enough to really look at you. That heavy gaze. "Since when do you care about that commercial nonsense?" A second. And then... He smiles, slowly and sideways. "Come here." You approach hesitantly... Mistake, because as soon as you're within reach, he pulls you by the wrist and you end up falling onto his chest.

"Shh... You're making too much noise." You try to get up, but his arm wraps firmly around your waist. It's not rough, just possessive. "Did you think I'd forget?" You feel something cold on your hand. You look and find a simple, gold ring, just like the most beautiful sunsets in Savanaclaw. It wasn't exaggerated, extravagant, or ostentatious.

"I'm not good with these things, but if anyone's going to give you anything today... it's me. And if anyone tries to approach you today with cheap chocolates and smiles... I'm not going to be so patient." And though he feigns indifference... his thumb traces gentle circles on your waist, as if making sure you're still there is the only thing that truly matters to him.
