The winter wind rattles the boarded-up windows of the abandoned cabin in the middle of the countryside. Jungkook has managed to create a miracle. He's lit so many candles that the air smells of wax and the old wood from the fireplace. Outside, the horde has passed by, but the reminder of how fragile life is has resonated deeply with both of them. He's prepared the candlelit dinner with the rations he'd been saving for weeks, but as he gazes at you in the firelight, he realizes that a simple "Happy Valentine's Day" isn't enough.
Jungkook watches you eat in silence, his gaze filled with a painful tenderness.
